This Act was extended to those areas of the State of Bombay to which immediately before the commencement of the Bombay 12 of 1959, it did not extend (vide Bombay 12 of 1959), Section 2).

An Act to amend and consolidate the law relating to the promotion and enforcement of and carrying into effect the policy of prohibition and also the Abkari law in the state of Bombay.
Whereas it is expedient to amend and consolidate the law relating to the promotion and enforcement of and carrying into effect the policy of Prohibition; and whereas it is also necessary to amend and consolidate the Abkari law in the state of Bombay for the said purpose and to provide for certain other purposes hereinafter appearing; It is hereby enacted as follows.Important Link:-
