Guidelines for Celebrating Independence Day, August 15, 2021

Every year national holidays are celebrated with great pomp and fervor all over the country. This year too, Independence Day, 15th August 2021 will be celebrated with the same grandeur and enthusiasm.

Outbreaks appear to be exacerbated during the novel Corolla virus (Covid-19). As part of some preventive measures to prevent the spread of coVID-19 infection by the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India The guidelines on covid-19 have to be followed, and Independence Day 2021 has to be celebrated with that in mind.

Independence Day 201 should not be celebrated in large numbers and maximum use of technology should be made at state level, district level, taluka level and in gram panchayats. For this, the Government of India has also given necessary instructions from the read letter. 

The above mentioned limitations and preventive measures will have to be taken into consideration regarding the celebration of the next Independence Day, 15th August 2021. 3, State level, district level, taluka level and gram panchayats will have to celebrate Independence Day 201 as given below.

State level

(1) Hon'ble Chief Minister will hoist the National Flag at Junagadh (at 06:00 hrs); The national anthem will be played; Guard of Honor will be given by the police including Para Military Force, Home Guard, NCC, Scouts etc.; Hon'ble Chief Minister will inaugurate; The national anthem will be sung.

(2) To invite health workers who have served to prevent the epidemic of coVID-19, such as doctors, health workers, sanitation workers, etc., as well as those who have recovered from a serious situation against Corona, by inviting freedom fighters to the event.

(3) To invite about 200 dignitaries / leading citizens of Junagadh city and Junagadh district in the athome program to be organized at Junagadh district on the eve of Independence Day.

(4) As part of the celebration of Independence Day 2021, a state level cultural program will have to be organized on 16/09/201 at Junagadh. The number of invitees to this program should be limited to 1000 (one thousand). The live broadcast of the cultural program of the state level will have to be done by the taluka level cultural program.

District level

(1) In addition to the above matters, the national flag will be hoisted at the district headquarters by the Hon'ble Minister, District Collector at the district level (after 06:00 hours); The national anthem will be played; Will be paraded by police forces, Home Guard, NCc Scouts etc .; Hon'ble Minister, Speech will be given by District Collector; The national anthem will be sung.

(2) To invite health workers who have served to prevent the epidemic of COVID-19, such as doctors, health workers, sanitation workers, etc. Invite dignitaries who have made a special contribution in a field. The number of invitees should be kept at 500.

(3) A copy of the minute-to-minute program in this regard shall be accompanied by the program as planned.

(4) The same taluka level Sub Divisional Magistrate / Mamlatdar will hoist the National Flag at the Taluka Headquarters (after 04:00 hrs); The national anthem will be played; Lectures will be given by dignitaries; Unfurling of National Flag; The national anthem will be sung. 

Invite health workers who have served to prevent the epidemic of coVID-19, such as doctors, health workers, sanitation workers, etc., as well as those who have recovered from a serious situation against corona. 

In addition to this, to invite distinguished art car / sportsman / other dignitaries of the district who have made special contribution in any other field. The number of invitees should be kept at 500. A copy of the minute-to-minute program in this regard will be included in the program.

As a part of Independence Day 2021 celebrations, on 20/06/2011 at 06:00 pm, taluka level A will have to organize a 20 minute cultural program. The theme of patriotism in this regard will be decided by the Additional Chief Secretary, Department of Sports, Youth and Cultural Activities. Arrangements will have to be made to broadcast this cultural program on LED screen and live broadcast of the state level cultural program to be held at Junagadh after the completion of the program.


Gram Panchayat level


(1) National flag will be hoisted by Sarpanch Shri (after 06:00 hours); The national anthem will be played; Lectures will be given by dignitaries; The national anthem will be sung.

(2) To invite health workers who have served to prevent the epidemic of covID-19, such as doctors, health workers, sanitation workers, etc., as well as those who have recovered from a serious situation against corona. In addition to this, to invite distinguished art car / sportsman / dignitaries of the district who have made special contribution in any other field. The number of invitees should be kept at 500.

(2) A copy of the minute to minute program in this regard shall be accompanied by the program to be organized accordingly.

Each program must fully comply with the Government's periodic guidelines regarding the epidemic of coVID-19 and maintain social distance as well as make sanitation and wearing of masks mandatory. Arrangements in this regard should be made by the concerned District Collector.

Police / military bands will have to be recorded at places of historical significance associated with the freedom movement. These recorded tunes will have to be shown through digital media / big screen during public events and on social media. 

Other programs of the day include tree planting, inter-school - inter-college discussion through digital medium, online quiz / essay on patriotism - poetry writing competition, announcing important plans, singing patriotic songs by selected boys / girls on social media, patriotism To make speeches, decorate / illuminate government buildings, conduct themed webinars, run online campaigns by patriotic themed NSS and NYKS and organize other activities to suit the occasion approved by the state.

At the venue of the Independence Day celebrations and through social media to see that the theme / activities of the self-reliant India are properly disseminated and disseminated among the people.

It remains to be seen whether the entire program will be conducted in a dignified manner following the guidelines given from time to time regarding coVID-19 as well as the national holiday.
