Gyan Sadhana Scholarship Scheme For Std.9 to Std.12


Have studied in government or aided primary schools consecutively in class 1 to 8 and completed class 8 and the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act, 2009 (RTE Act, 2009) and the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Rules, 2012 Under the provision of free education to the children of weaker sections and underprivileged groups between 6 to 14 years of age in independent schools to the extent of 25% of the class size and have completed continuous studies from class-1 to class-8 in independent schools and also the knowledge aptitude test of the parents of both types of students.
At the time, among the students whose income is less than the prescribed income limit for admission under Section 12(1)(c) of the RTE Act, 2009, the bright students are admitted on the basis of merit in the independent secondary schools affiliated to all the boards operating in the State in Class-9 and education up to Class-12. For that, a new 'Gyan Sadhana Scholarship Scheme' has been implemented to select such bright students of the state of Gujarat and give them a scholarship to study in independent schools of their choice from class 9 to 12. 

Gyan Sadhana Scholarship Scheme 2023-24


In this scheme, 25,000 new bright students are selected every year and they get Rs. 20,000 and Rs. 25,000 scholarship will be given. It is decided to conduct the “Gyan Sadhana Proficiency Test” conducted by the State Examination Board for this Gyan Sadhana Scholarship Scheme. This test will be conducted as follows.

The application forms for this test have to be filled online at the website www.sebexam.org from 11/05/2023 (03:00 PM) to 26/05/2023 (12:00 PM).

Eligibility to appear in the test:


(A) Having studied in Government or aided primary schools consecutively from Class 1 to 8 and studying or passed in Class 8

Or

(B) within the limit of 25% in self-supporting schools under the provisions of Section 12(1)(c) of the RTE Act, 2009;
Students admitted in Class-I at that time who are studying or passed Class-VIII,

(C) and in the case of (a) and (b) above whose income of the guardian is below the income limit prescribed for admission under Section 12(1)(c) of the RTE Act, 2009 is currently Rs. 1,50,000 (one lakh fifty thousand) and for rural area Rs. 1,20,000 (One Lakh Twenty Thousand) students will be able to take the test.

Examination Fee:-


There will be no fee for Gyan Sadhana Proficiency Exam.

Exam Structure:-


The entrance exam will be of multiple choice and multi-purpose type (Multiple Choice Question-MCQ Based).

- The question paper of the entrance exam will be of 120 marks and the duration will be 150 minutes.

The medium of entrance examination will be in Gujarati/English language.

The entrance exam will have the following subjects and marks.
