CTET 2022 Notification Declared

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released CTET Notification 2022 along with all important dates and form-filling details

The Central Board of Secondary Education will conduct 16th edition of Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) in CBT (Computer Based Test - Online) mode between December, 2022 to January, 2023.

The exact date of examination will be mentioned on the admit cards of the candidates. The detailed Information Bulletin containing details of examination, syllabus, languages, eligibility criteria, examination fee, examination cities and important dates will be available on CTET official website https://ctet.nic.in soon and the aspiring candidates are requested to download the Information Bulletin from the above mentioned website only and read the same carefully before applying.

CTET Online Application 2022 Start

The online application-process will start from 31-10-2022 (Monday) onwards and the last date for submitting online application is 24-11-2022 (Thursday) upto 23:59 hrs. The fee can be paid upto 25-11-2022 (Friday) before 15:30 hrs.

The candidates must note that the examination city of their choice will be allotted on first cum first served basis only as per availability of capacity in the city of examination. 
The candidates, who complete the online application process and pay the fee on first cum first served basis, will be allotted the examination city of their choice as per availability in that particular city. 

CTET Exam 2022


The total capacity in a particular city will also be available on the portal. If the total capacity of a particular city is full during completion of application process or making payment of examination fee or updation of transaction on portal, the candidate will be given the option either to select any other city or cancel the transaction. 
If a candidate cancels the transaction, full fee will be refunded to his/her account as per mode of payment and application will not be considered for this examination of CTET. The request for change of examination city will not be accepted in any case.

Ctet Syllabus


It may also be noted that if the total capacity is full in a particular city while filling on-line application, the candidate has no right to claim for the allotment of examination center in that particular city and Board will not be responsible for it.

Exam Name : Central Board of Secondary Education

Every year, Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) is conducted two times at the national level for candidates who want to get a teaching job in the government section. CTET Exam is conducted by the CBSE in online mode. The applicants who are interested to take forward their careers in the teaching lines for primary and upper primary classes have to qualify CTET Exam. Based on their score in CTET Exam, the candidates can apply for various vacancies in various government and government-aided schools.

CTET Cut-Off 


The candidates appearing in CTET will be issued with a mark sheet. The Candidates securing 60% (General) and above marks will be issued an Eligibility Certificate for which the validity has been extended from 7 years to a lifetime period. School Management (Government, Local bodies, Government aided and unaided) may consider giving concessions to the person belonging to SC/ST, OBC, differently-abled persons, etc., in accordance with their extant reservation policy.

Q.1.What is/are the Qualification(s) for applying for CTET?

Q.2 Am I eligible for CTET as per my acquired qualification?

Ans. Please go through and read the CTET information Bulletin carefully. The candidate should satisfy his/her eligibility before applying and shall be personally responsible in case he/she is not eligible to apply as per the given eligibility criteria.

Q.3 After qualifying the CTET am I eligible for getting the Job?

Ans. Qualifying CTET would not confer a right on any person for Recruitment / Employment as it is only of the eligibility criteria for appointment.

Q.4 If I qualify CTET, will CTET unit or CBSE provide me a Job?

Ans. CBSE is an Examination conducting body only. Providing job/employment does not fall under its jurisdiction

Q.5 What are the number of attempts a candidate can avail for CTET ?

Ans. Till now there is no limit on number of attempts for appearing in CTET

Q.6 What is the validity period of CTET certificate?

Ans. Earlier as per guidelines framed by NCTE, the validity period was 7 years but now “The Validity period of TET qualifying certificate for appointment, unless otherwise notified by the appropriate Government, would remain valid for life. Q.7 Can I apply for CTET again if I had already qualified the CTET before?

Ans. Yes,There is no restriction

Q.8 Can I appear in Paper-I or Paper-II in different cycles ?

Ans. Yes.

Q.9 I made a mistake in my Name/Father Name/Mother Name/Correspondence Address/Category/Change in city of exam centre/Photo /Sign. What should I do now?

Ans. You can do online correction. The time period for online correction is announced along with schedule of examination. Therefore, candidates should read the Information Bulletin carefully, During Online correction period, a candidate by login on our Website can make corrections. Line for online corrections remain functional and closes as per schedule mentioned in information Bulletin. No change will be accepted through offline mode i.e. through fax/application or by email etc. No correspondence in this regard will be entertained. Please note that no request for any change in particulars is to be accepted under any circumstances after the specified date for online correction is over. After making correction, candidate should ensure that he/she has downloaded the revised Confirmation Page. Previously generated Confirmation Page will be no longer valid once the corrections are made during specified period.

Q.10 How can we get the Eligibility Certificate and Mark Sheets of CTET?

Ans. The Eligibility Certificate and Mark Sheets of CTET will be available on Digilocker ( https://www.digilocker.gov.in ) and candidate can get the same by filling required credentials.

Q.11 Whowill get the Eligibility Certificate?

Ans. As per NCTE Notification No. 764/2010/NCTE/Acad Dated 11.02.2011: A person who scores 60% or more in the TET exam will be considered as TET Pass. School Managements (Governments ,local bodies government aided and unaided) may consider giving concessions to person belonging to SC/ST OBC differently able persons, etc. in accordance with their extant reservation policy. Should give weightage to the CTET scores in the recruitment process.
