Cases have been on the rise in the state since November. For the first time in six and a half months, more than 500 cases have been reported.
In the last 24 hours,4213 new cases of corona have been reported. While 65 patients have been discharged. Earlier on June 14, 405 new cases were reported. Today Ahmedabad city has the highest number of 265 new cases reported in the state.
While one patient has died in Porbandar district. So far 8 lakh 31 thousand 462 reports have come positive in the state, while the death toll is 10 thousand 116. As many as 8 lakh 18 thousand 487 patients have been discharged so far.
As far as active cases are concerned, there are currently 1902 active cases in the state, out of which 11 patients are on ventilator, while 1891 patients are in stable condition.
One more death was reported in the state
After Kheda yesterday, a patient has also died in Porbandar district today. Corona deaths have been reported in the state for six consecutive days but one died in Jamnagar city on December 27.
However, on December 26, there was zero death. On December 25, 2 patients died from corona in Rajkot district.
Earlier on December 10, 3 patients were reported dead in the state. At least 8 cases of first and second wave were reported on September 20. A total of 7 deaths from corona were reported in the state in October and 5 in November.
Earlier in December, no double digit cases were reported in the state for 50 consecutive days till September 16.
Today 19 new cases of Omicron were reported
Along with Corona, Omicron's cases are also slowly increasing. A total of 19 Omicron patients have been registered in the state today. In Ahmedabad city 4 men and 4 women together have registered maximum 8 cases of Omicron.
Then in Surat city, 6 in Vadodara city 3 and in Anand 2 cases of Omicron have been reported. So far, a total of 97 Omicron cases have been reported in Gujarat. If we talk about discharge, 14 patients in Ahmedabad, 11 in Vadodara city, 2 in Surat city, 3 in Anand, 3 in Kheda, 1 in Gandhinagar city, 1 in Rajkot, 3 in Mehsana, 3 in Jamnagar city together total 41 Omicro patients.
