TET-1/TET 2 (Teacher Eligibility Test) Validity Related Latest Paripatra Of Education Department, Gujarat
It has been decided to conduct Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) for the recruitment of teaching assistants / teachers in the primary schools of the state of Gujarat by the resolution taken under the number (1) taken from the reading of this department dated 7/04/2011.
In this resolution, the candidates who want to get appointment as teaching assistant / teacher in the primary schools of the state will have to pass TET-1 (for Std. 1 to 8) and TET-2 (for Std. 6 to 8) compulsorily. Also, provision was made that the certificate of TET-1 and TET-2 would be valid for 5 years.
Then from the resolution under number (2) taken in the reading of this department dated 08/09/2018. The paragraph of the resolution of 3/06/2011. 7 was amended as follows.
The validity period of the Teacher Eligibility Test Certificate will be five years, but the number of attempts to pass this test is not fixed. No amount of effort will be allowed to pass this test. Once the teacher has passed the aptitude test, any candidate will be able to appear for the examination more than once for his / her qualitative improvement and good merit and in that case the certificate of passing the TET examination for the recruitment of the teacher will be considered.
If the candidate wants, the teacher can give the aptitude test for both the primary teacher and the upper primary teacher.
The National Council of Teachers Education (NCTE) has recently extended the validity of Qualifying Certificate of Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) for a period of 3 years with a letter under number (2) dated 04/08/2071. This amendment was proposed to extend the validity of TET (Teacher Eligibility Test) certificate from the letter dated 10/05/2081 under the number (2) sold by the Office of the Director of Primary Education.
Pursuant to which the matter of extending the validity period of TET (1 & 2) certificate was under consideration of the Government.
Resolution
At the end of the adult consideration, the provision as decided by Resolution No. 3 of this section dated 05/08/2018 is amended as follows.
The validity of the Teacher Aptitude Test Certificate will remain as per the National Education Policy-2020 till the new rules of Teacher Aptitude Test come into force.
The number of attempts to give this test is not fixed. No amount of effort will be allowed to pass this test.
Once the teacher has passed the aptitude test, any candidate can appear for the examination more than once for his / her qualitative improvement and good merit and in that case the candidate will be required to submit the certificate of passing the TET examination while enrolling in the recruitment of academic / teacher.
The candidate will be able to give the teacher aptitude test for both the primary teacher and the upper primary teacher.
In case of candidates who have earlier passed the Teacher Eligibility Test TET (1 & 2) and in their certificate the validity period of the Teacher Eligibility Test Certificate has been kept up to 5 years as per the resolution dated 7/08/2011 and dated 07/06/2018 of this section. But the provisions of this resolution shall apply equally.
In case of candidates whose certificate has expired for five years, the State Examination Board will not have to approve the certificate / re-issue the certificate. ”
Ta. 9/02/2011 and dt. Other provisions of the resolution dated 07/08/2018 will remain the same.
This resolution is published on the file of the same number of this department as per the approval received on the note dated 07/10/2001 of the Government.
