Press Note of Gujarat Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, Gandhinagar Regarding HSC Board Examination

By the Ministry of Education, Central Government,  On 23-05-2021, through video conferencing with the Education Ministers of all the states of the country, CBSE, various options for conducting the standard 12 public examination by the board and also the states regarding holding the examination for admission in NEET, JEE and higher studies. 

A meeting was held under the chairmanship of the Hon'ble Minister of Defense, Government of India. In which CBSE. The board discussed two options for conducting standard 12 examination.

Option 1- Conduct a descriptive form of written examination from the existing three-hour period of examination method and the period till the result is declared.


Option 2 - Considering the multiple choice type questions of the prescribed syllabus and the structure of short answer questions, the option of conducting the examination using the question paper which is completed in 90 minutes was discussed.

The discussion was attended by education ministers from all the states across the country. Participating in the discussion, Hon'ble Education Minister Shri Bhupendrasinh Chudasama said that the career of the students is as important as their safety. 

The examination will be conducted in strict compliance with the guideline of Covid-19 while conducting the examinations and the necessary cooperation for the entrance examinations for higher studies conducted by the Government of India will be fully utilized.

Appropriate decision will be taken after reviewing the situation and consulting with Hon'ble Chief Minister for Std. 12 examination of Gujarat Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education.
