NMMS (NATIONAL MEANS CUM MERIT SCHOLARSHIP) EXAM QUESTION PAPER RELEASED : NMMS – National Means-Cum-Merit Scholarship is a Centrally sponsored scholarship scheme. It is implemented by the Department of School Education & Literacy under the Ministry of Human Resource Development with the objective to financially support the meritorious students of economically weaker sections of the society.

NMMS encourages disadvantaged students to continue their studies at the secondary level by offering a scholarship amount of INR 12,000 per annum. Every year, this MCM scholarship is made active during the month of November and almost 100,000 scholarships are disbursed among bright students.
Once the NMMS results are declared, check if you are qualified are not. If you are qualified then you should open a joint bank account with your parents. NMMS Scholarship amount will be credited to that Joint Bank Account only. All the qualified students will receive Rs.1000 per month (Rs.12000 per year). This scholarship amount will be credited to your bank account by Public Financial Management System (PFMS).
Conditions To Avail NMMS Scholarship
The National Means cum Merit Scholarship Examination, also known as NMMS Exam, was started in May 2008. The NMMS Exam is sponsored by the Central Government.The examination is conducted by the local authority.
To prevent the dropping out of economically backward students from school at class VIII and to encourage them to complete their education till the secondary stage, the exam seeks to identify meritorious students and fund their education expenses. There is reservation as per Government norms.
