National Testing Agency (NTA) has declared NEET 2020 result date as October 16 which is today. NEET 2020 result direct link will be updated on this page here. 

Students are anxious to check their result and have been checking what the NEET result time will be. 

As per reports, NEET result will be available before 4 pm at ntaneet.nic.in. NTA NEET UG result combined will be announced today.

NEET Result 2020 Highlights

NTA NEET result will be used for admissions to around 80,005 MBBS, 26,949 BDS, 52,720 AYUSH, and 525 BVSc & AH seats across India. This year, admissions to 1205 seats in 15 AIIMS and 2 JIPMER institutes will be included in the All India counselling.  

This year, the seats under IP quota in all ESIC medical and dental institutes will be merged in the All India quota. More than 317 seats will now be available to students in the All India counselling. Allotments will be on the basis of the NEET results and merit.

ESIC quota not there in NEET UG 2020-2021 

The Medical Education Cell, ESIC has announced the cancellation of ESIC reservations for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test - NEET counselling 2020-21 through an official notice. 
The authorities have further informed that 'seats filled up in previous years under IP Quota in ESIC Medical/Dental Colleges would be filled up by DGHS, GoI, as All Inida Quota Seats.


NEET result 2020 - Registered vs appear (Phase 1 & 2 exam) 

As per the latest update on NEET 2020, around 15.97 lakh candidates have appeared for NEET 2020 exam on September 13 in which around a total of 85.6% of the students have appeared for the MBBS/BDS course exam. Only around 2oo candidates have appeared for the NEET phase 2 2020 on October 14, who have missed the exam on its earlier schedule. NEET result 2020 - Why was the delay? 

As per the earlier NEET 2020 result date, NTA was highly expected to release the result on October at ntaneet.nic.in.

However NTA has issued its decision over the release of NEET result that it will be releasing on October 16 because of NEET phase 2 exam. NTA has conducted a second phase of NEET UG exam for candidates who could not appear for the September 13 exam because they were either COVID-positive or they are in contaminated zones

NEET 2020 Result- Increase in seats in All India quota 

The good news for all NEET aspirants and qualifiers is that there is an increase in the All India seats. This is on account of the AIIMS and JIPMER seats merged into the All India counselling. These are around 1400 seats which earlier were through the AIIMS and JIPMER entrance exams.  In addition, the ESIC seats under the IP quota are now available for all students under the All India quota for 2020-2021. These are another additional seats of more than 317.  Students who qualify as per NEET result will have the advantage of these additional seats.
