According to the above subject, R.T.E. As per Act-2006, Gujarat RTE Rules-2018 is in force in the entire state. The following changes have been made in Rule No. 02 (1) of Gujarat RTE Rules-2018 by the notification of the education department referred to.
Chapter-2: Right to Free and Compulsory Education 3. (1) Children who have not completed any age on June 1 of the academic year
The child will not normally be admitted to elementary school.
During the academic years 2020-21, 2021-2 and 206-2, if a child has completed 5 years of age on June 1 of that academic year, he / she should get admission in that year.
Will be eligible. The notification of the Department of Education regarding the said amendment is sent along with this. The wise report has to be made in all the primary schools under your jurisdiction from your level.
Parents should also be advised that if any parent wants to give pre-primary education to his / her child, he / she should get admission for pre-primary education in the headline of the education department and keeping in view the age of his / her child so that in future the child can get admission in Std-1 based on certain age limit.

Sachivalaya, Gandhinagar, 31st January, 2020 Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act, 2009. No: GH/SH/04/PRE/122019/Single File-21/K:- In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 38 of the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act, 2009 (35 of 2009), the Government of Gujarat hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Rules, 2012, namely; 1. (1) These rules may be called the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education (Amendment) Rules, 2020.
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. 2. In the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Rules, 2012, in rule 3, for sub-
rule(l), the following sub-rule shall be substituted, namely:- "(1) Admission of pupils : No Elementary School shall admit a child in 1s' standard who has not completed 6th year of age on the 1" June of the academic year:
Provided that for the academic years 2020-2021, 2021-2022 and 2022-2023 a child shall be eligible for admission who has completed 5th year of age on the 15 June of the respective academic year."
