Sarkari Yojana : Mukhyamantri Amrutam (MA) & Mukhyamantri Amrutam Vatsalya Yojana


Introduction Of Sarkari Yojana-MA Yojana:-

In order to provide medical aid, the Government of Gujarat launched Mukhyamantri Amrutum ‘MA’ Yojana on 4th September, 2012.

This plan is dedicated to provide healthcare to individuals who are living below the poverty line. Recently, the plan has been modified to include lower middle class families within the state.

Features Of Mukhyamantri Amrutum Yojana: -

 MAY Mentioned Below Are The Features Of Mukhyamantri Amrutum Yojana:-

It is a 100% state funded scheme where the fund goes directly to the service providers.

The sum assured is up to Rs. 3,00,000/- per family per annum on a family floater basis.  A maximum of 5 family members can avail the benefits of the scheme.

The state government transfers the benefit amount via RTGS.  Paperless Claim Processing for early claim settlement.  Comes with complete cashless cover for expenses arising out of medical treatment and medicine.

Enrollment of beneficiary throughout the year.  The scheme has empaneled both private and public/trust/Grant-In-Aid hospitals.

Mega Heath Camps are conducted in every district in which participation of empanelled hospitals, both private and govt. is necessary.

General Health Camps are also conducted by the empanelled hospitals every month.  Beneficiaries can also enrol via Civic Centre Kiosks and Taluka Kiosks. Mobile Kiosks are also available.  There are no intermediaries involved in the coverage process. This is not an insurance policy.

Benefits Of Mukhyamantri Amrutum Yojana :-

MAY Mentioned below are the benefits of Mukhyamantri Amrutum Yojana:-

Provides a cover of Rs. 3,00,000/- Kidney Transplant, Liver Transplant, Kidney + Pancreas

Transplant procedures are covered with benefit up to Rs. 5,00,000/- Knee and Hip replacement procedures are covered with a cap of Rs.40,000/ - per one replacement.

Provides cover for Cardiovascular diseases, Renal diseases, Neurological diseases, Burns, Poly-Trauma, Cancer (Malignancies), Neonatal (newborn) diseases, Knee & Hip Replacement & Kidney, Liver and Kidney + Pancreas Transplantation and 698 defined procedures. Rs. 300/- is paid to the beneficiary as transportation charges for every instance of availing treatment from the empanelled hospital.

Each family member is issued a QR coded card (Quick Response Coded Card), which has the biometric thumb impressions, photograph, a unique registration number (URN), District name, Taluka name & Village name.

Hospitals accreditation by NABH / JCI (Joint Commission International)/ ACHS (Australia) or by any other accreditation body approved by the International Society for Quality in Healthcare (ISQua) are given Quality Incentives of 10% extra package change over and above the package rates.

Transportation Allowances:-

Rs. 6/- per km as transportation allowances for hospital in case of death patient to take the dead body from the hospital to his/her hometown.

Eligibility Criteria for Mukhyamantri Amrutum Yojana:-

The Scheme was extended to families of lower income group named as Mukhyamantri Amrutum Vatsalya Yojana in August 2014.

The individual has an annual income less than Rs. 2.5 lakhs.

The limit of income has been increased from Rs. 2.50 lakh to Rs. 3.00 lakh per annum for “MA Vatsalya” beneficiaries.

U-win Card holders are also included under the scheme.

All urban & rural ASHAs (Accredited Social Health Activist), Reporters and fix pay employees of class-3 & 4 appointed by state government are included under “MA Vatsalya” Yojana.

Senior citizens of those families with annual income up to Rs. 6 lakh are included under “MA Vatsalya” scheme.

How To Claim Mukhyamantri Amrutum Yojana ?

Making a claim under Mukhyamantri Amrutum Yojana is a completely cashless process. Once the emergency has been identified, the patient is required to submit their QR coded card (Quick Response Coded Card) to the network hospital for approval. Post approval, the hospital will go ahead with the treatment.
