Under the State Food Security Act, Rs 1000 will be deposited in the accounts of 66 lakh cardholders of Gujarat from Monday.

The Chief Minister's Secretary Ashwini Kumar informed that, "Rs. 6,000 thousand will be deposited directly by the government from Monday to 6 lakh families, including poor, middle class, laborers and construction workers with NFSA cards in Gujarat."

Rs 1000 will be deposited in the accounts of 66 lakh cardholders of Gujarat from Monday. 


Ashwini Kumar further said that the state government will provide Rs 1000 assistance to the families of those affected by the livelihood during the lockdown.

There will be no formality or form to be filled to get this amount. Based on the data we have, the government has planned to deposit Rs 1000 in the beneficiary family account from Monday. Doing so will result in an additional Rs.660 crore burden on the state government. '

Ashwini Kumar said that through this Rs 660 crore, there will be a lot of relief for the poor, middle class, the working class and the construction workers who are buying the NFSA card in the state.

 For the first time, the state government had planned to provide wheat, rice, pulses and sugar to the 60 lakh APL-1 cardholders in Gujarat for the first time in the state.

Rs 1000 will be deposited in the accounts of 66 lakh cardholders of Gujarat from Monday. 


Out of the 60 lakhs, 45 lakh families have taken their grain from more than 17,000 government cheaper grain shops. The remaining APL-1 beneficiaries will also get ration.
