Gujarat NMMS Application Form 2019
The Centrally Sponsored Scheme “National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship Scheme (NMMSS)” was launched
in May, 2008. The objective of the scheme is to award scholarships to meritorious students of economically weaker sections to arrest their drop out at class VIII and encourage them to continue the study at secondary stage. Scholarship of Rs. 12000/- per annum (Rs.1000/- per month) per student is awarded to selected students every year for study in classes from IX to XII in State Government, Government aided and local body schools.

There is quota of scholarships for different states/UTs. Students whose parental income from all sources is not more than Rs. 1,50,000/- are eligible to avail the scholarships. There is reservation as per State Government norms. The selection of students award of the scholarships is made through an examination conducted by the State Governments. Scholarships are disbursed by the State Bank of India directly into the bank accounts of students on quarterly basis.

National Means Cum Merit Scholarship Exam will be conducted for Gujarat on December 22, 2019. In order to appear for the exam , the candidate have to submit the Admit Card-Hall Ticket which will be available after submitting the Application Form successfully.The students who have studied in std 8 will be considered or eligible for the examination


NMMS PREVIOUS QUESTION PAPERS AND ANSWER KEYS

The proposals/list of beneficiaries for the academic year is required to be submitted/ uploaded on-line over National Scholarship Portal (NSP).


NMMS centrally sponsored scheme is conducted by the Ministry of Human Resource Development. A written examination is conducted to handover a scholarship. Candidates who perform well in the examination, they are given a certain amount of money per annum.

Eligibility Criteria 

  • Student must possess 55% percentage marks in case of General Category.
  • However, unreserved category candidate must possess a minimum 55% marks
  • Parental income of the candidates should not exceed (1.5) Lakh, including all income sources.
