Health Oriented Guidelines To Be Followed Regarding Training Of Polling Staff and Dispatch of Polling Teams As Per Election Management Considering the Situation of COVID-19 During the General / By-Elections of Gujarat State Swarajya Units to Be Held in February 2021.

[1] General Instructions: -

1.1. Everyone working in the election work must wear a face mask at every stage of the election and have to sanitize the house from time to time. It will have to provide sanitizer, soap and water.

1.2 The temperature of every employee working at each stage of the election shall be checked with a thermal gun.

1.3. Larger and more halls will have to be used for operations at each stage of the election as long as possible to maintain social distance.

1.4. The training site selected for the election work and each polling station must be sanitized before use. Sanitation work under the guidance of Nodal Health Officer by employees of Municipal Corporation, District Panchayat, Taluka Panchayat and Local Self Government Institutions of the Municipality

1.5. Spitting in a public place as per the rules announced by the Central / State Government as well Eating leaves, gutka, tobacco, etc. is prohibited and those who do not wear a face mask will be penalized.

1.3. A sufficient number of additional vehicles will have to be arranged for the polling staff and their safety for the purpose of complying with the instructions of COVID-12.

[3] Appointment and performance of Nodal Officer: - 4.1. Additional Director (Public Health), Commissioner, Office of Health at the state level should be appointed as the Nodal Officer of the Health Department to monitor coVID-19 and its transmission throughout the election process.

4.2 Supervision of coVID-39 related arrangements during election process at district level For and for preventive measures the Chief District Health Officer is appointed as the District Level Nodal Officer of the Health Department. He will have to maintain coordination with the Collector.

3.2. Municipal Corporation, District Panchayat, Nagarpalika and Taluka Panchayat area

For the supervision of COVID-19 related arrangements and for preventive measures during the entire election process, the Health Officer should be appointed as the Nodal Health Officer of the Corporation, District Surveillance Officer and Taluka Health Officer respectively. 

2.2 The nodal officers of the health department will ensure that all necessary steps are taken to prevent covid-15 during the elections. The names and mobile phone numbers of these officers should be made available to all the officers / employees working in the election.

3.2. Information of Covid-12 Positive Report Case on the day before polling by the Nodal Office Must be made available.

3.2. The information received from the Nodal Health Officer will be made available by the Province Officer / Mamlatdar to the concerned Election Officer and the Polling Team.5
