Decision / UG course will be assessed on merit based progress, 50% internal assessment and 50% marks from previous semester

As per the guidelines of UGC, it has been decided that the examination of UG courses and programs will be held from June 25.

Then a guideline has been issued regarding the examination. In which some necessary instructions are given. It states that all students will be required to wear a mask, observe social distance and use a sanitizer during the examination.

In addition the duration of the examination has been increased from 3 hours to 2 hours. Exams will be conducted in multiple shifts if required. Instructions have been given to organize all the centers at local and taluka level.

How will the assessment be done?

In addition, for students of semesters 2,4 and 6, 50 per cent marks will be given on the basis of internal assessment and the remaining 50 per cent marks will be given on the basis of the previous semester. The scheme is named Merit Based Progress.

For example, if a university has 30 marks of internal assessment, if the student has got 20 marks out of it and has got 79 marks out of 100 marks in the university examination of the previous semester, then the marks will be calculated as follows. If the practical examination has not been taken then its marks will also be calculated as follows and if the practical examination has been taken then the marks which have come will be counted.

Some instructions regarding the exam

If the marks of the previous semester or year are not available then the annual examination is held, in which case 100 per cent multiplication will have to be done on the basis of internal assessment.

If a student wants to improve his / her grade, he / she will take the exam for the next semester.

This provision will be considered only for the year 2019-20 of the Intermediate Semester Examination.

If a student has failed in any subject, he / she will be ‘CARRY FORWARD’ and sent for the next semester. But the student will have to give the examination in the subject in which he has failed in the next semester.

If students want to improve their grades, exams will be held in October or November.

The university will have to manage the portal.Within ten days of the announcement of the marks, the student has to state whether he wants to take part in this special examination to be held in October or November and for that the university has to arrange a portal. The University will be given time till 10-06-2020 for all these procedures.
